First Great Eastern brings 50,000 commuters into London every day. |
A train company has come up with a festive wheeze for Christmas travellers who have over-indulged. Commuters on First Great Eastern trains are being offered Christmas cards containing a packet of mints to cure any morning-after "dog breath" as well as vouchers for a reviving cup of coffee.
The card also contains a list of unlikely excuses for partners or bosses for being late home or late to work.
The survival kits were being handed out at London's Liverpool Street Station on Thursday.

Last year First Great Eastern offered "wake me up" badges for passengers overcome by the party spirit. First Great Eastern takes 50,000 commuters into London every day. "Every year we try to thank our passengers for their custom in a light-hearted way," said the company's managing director Theo Steel.
"The festive season can be tough going with the round of office parties and this is a fun way of saying thanks, have fun and respect other people when you are refreshed on the way home."
