Jessie Wallace arrives at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court |
EastEnders star Jessie Wallace appeared in court on Tuesday charged with drinking and driving.
Miss Wallace, 31, who plays Kat Slater in the TV show, appeared before Chelmsford Magistrates' Court in Essex for a pre-trial hearing of her case.
It is alleged she was one-and-a-half times over the drink-drive limit when police stopped her Mercedes car last month.
The star appeared under her real name, Karen Wallace.
Magistrates rejected an application for her address to be withheld.
Unconditional bail
The court heard that on her first appearance in court on 20 March, magistrates rejected a similar application and that the address was already in the public domain.
Ms Wallace, of Wanstead, east London, denies the drink-driving charge.
The hearing was adjourned for a pre-trial review on 5 August, which Ms Wallace will have to attend.
A trial is due to take place on 5 September at Witham Magistrates' Court, Essex.
Her unconditional bail was extended by the court.
The actress, who left the court through a side entrance, was driven away in a police car.
