Home Park to be sold to Plymouth Argyle's holding firm

Plymouth Argyle ground
Home Park was valued at 7.5m earlier in the year

Shareholders at Plymouth Argyle Football Company have backed plans to sell the Home Park ground to the club's holding company.

The sale to a new property firm wholly owned by Plymouth Argyle Football Company Holdings Ltd was approved at the club's annual general meeting.

The sale was proposed in an effort to raise funds after the club posted a £2.8m loss in March.

Home Park was independently valued as being worth £7.5m in February.

The club had attributed the loss to an unsustainable wage bill, coupled with a drop in attendances.
