The forest has cycle trails for all ages and abilities |
An activity forest in Devon has started its own page on the social networking site Facebook. Haldon Forest Park, near Exeter, covers 3,500 acres and includes cycle tracks, walking trails and a high wire adventure course. The online page features details of events, news updates and photos. Members of the public will also be able to upload their own material. Run by the Forestry Commission, Haldon opened as an activity forest in 2006. Gemma Ingall, park ranger, said: "Haldon Forest Park is a fantastic resource for local people and we want as many people as possible to come and enjoy spending time here. "It is important that we get information out to people about what there is to do at the park, and the health and wellbeing benefits of spending time in the forest."
