Devon and Cornwall have excelled in this years tourism industry's annual "Oscar" awards, with a total of 10 golds and 13 silvers. Six golds were awarded to a variety of different Devon businesses and four were allocated to Cornwall.
Cornwall's Hotel and Extreme Academy topped the Large Hotel of the Year, while in Devon Kent's Cavern was chosen as the best Large Visitor Attraction.
The South West Tourism Excellence Awards were held in Paignton.
The celebration aims to promote and reward the best this industry has to offer.
Deeply impressed
Gold awards were given out for everything from bed and breakfast accommodation to caravan holidays and website production.
As well as Kents Cavern in Devon, golds went to Combe House Country House Hotel in Gittisham, Pennywell Farm in Buckfastleigh, Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Cornwall at Watergate Bay and Bosinver Farm Cottages in St Austell.
Silvers were awarded to the Hidden Valley Park near Ilfracombe, and Blagdon Farm Country Holidays in Beaworthy as well as Hendra Holiday Park in Cornwall and Newquay Zoo.
Judges said they were deeply impressed by the winners, many of whom will now represent the region in the Enjoy England awards next year.
