Goss ready for new sail challenge
Cornish skipper Pete Goss has announced he is to return to competitive sailing with an entry in the 2006 Shetland Round Britain and Ireland Yacht Race.

Goss, 44, and team-mate Paul Larsen, will be hoping to take the world by storm in a small, lightweight trimaran.

Six years ago the yachtsman gave up his dreams of winning a round-the-world race after abandoning his catamaran Team Phillips in the Atlantic.

The 2,000-mile race will start from Plymouth on 11 June.

The course is clockwise around the islands of Great Britain, Ireland and Shetland.

There are compulsory stops of 48 hours at Kinsale, Barra, Lerwick and Lowestoft.
