| More than 500 farmers in Devon and Cornwall have been helped to improve their business performance. The assistance to the 530 farms is part of the Business Link Rural Business Support initiative. It is partly funded by Objective One and farming ministry Defra and provides funding for a specialist consultant to carry out individual plans for farms. Farmers said it has been a advantage when working on future action plans and helped them to consider diversifying.
