Man charged over 999 hoax calls
A man has been charged by police in connection with an investigation into a series of hoax 999 calls made to the emergency services.

A 39-year-old man from Newquay has been bailed to appear at Exeter Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 10 January, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

Last October police released recordings of the voice of a man who had made about 45 false siege and bomb claims.

Hoax calls were also received by the ambulance and fire services.
