110 hit by hospital stomach bug
Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital
All visitors should follow infection control measures
Family and friends of patients at a Devon hospital are still being urged to stay away in an attempt to bring the spread of a stomach bug under control.

More than 70 patients and 40 medical staff have been hit by the diarrhoea and vomiting bug at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.

Five wards are still closed to new admissions, the hospital said.

People should only go to the hospital with an appointment and not showing signs of the bug, or in an emergency.

All visitors should follow infection control measures, including the use of hand gels positioned around the hospital, said a spokesman.
