Healthcare debt under microscope
Financial problems at the North Devon Healthcare Trust will come under scrutiny at an emergency meeting of the patient watchdog on Monday.

The Patient and Public Involvement Forum will discuss concerns about the trust's multi-million pound debts.

It believes the current financial position is "unrecoverable" without intervention from the government.

The forum will also be discussing why some patients with suspected cancer had to wait over a year for an endoscopy.

Last week, it was announced that North Devon District Hospital was cutting back on its use of agency nurses in an effort to save money.
