The new station is expected to create 2,000 jobs
Dartmoor National Park Authority (DNPA) has approved changes to the design of a proposed power station on the outskirts of Plymouth.

Outline planning permission for the 400m scheme at Langage was agreed five years ago.

Plans for the design and landscaping around the building have been modified and those have now been approved.

The plant is expected to provide electricity using gas as fuel and create up to 2,000 new jobs.

Under a separate planning agreement, work to remove overhead power cables at the site is already under way.
