Airport boasts 30% business boost
Exeter Airport
Exeter to Edinburgh is the busiest route
The latest passenger figures from Exeter Airport show a 30% increase for the first half of the financial year.

Exeter is now one of the fastest growing regional airports in the UK.

More than 500,000 passengers passed through Exeter International Airport between 1 April this year and the end of September.

The airport's growth has been substantial in the past few years and passenger numbers are up 121 % on the same period last year.

The reason for the growth is the greater number of scheduled routes.

Flybe's service to Edinburgh has seen a rise of 76% and is now the busiest route, followed by Paris and Alicante.

The controversial proposed sale of the site to the firm which runs Bristol Airport has recently been referred to the Competition Commission.
