Transit sites are supported by Devon and Cornwall Police |
A series of public drop-in events on a council's proposals for four Gypsy and traveller sites is to be held. Devon County Council staff will be on hand to answer questions and ensure people's views are to be recorded on response forms.
Plans and drawings for the proposed sites will also be on display.
The sites earmarked by the council are at Ipplepen, Fremington, Denbury and Shillingford Abbot. People can register their views up until 26 January.

Transit sites are supported by the Commission for Racial Equality and Devon and Cornwall Police. A police spokesman said the majority of Gypsies and travellers are law-abiding and transit sites would allow them to act more quickly to close unauthorised sites.
At the moment Devon has no official transit sites for Gypsies or travellers and the county council says there are about 3,000 in the county each year.
There were 119 unauthorised sites in Devon in the past year, an increase of 60% on 2002.
The meetings will be held at:
Ipplepen Village Hall, 1400 GMT to 1900 GMT, 8 December. Fremington Youth Centre, Beechfield Road, 1500 GMT to 2000 GMT, 9 December. Denbury, Union Inn function room, 1400 GMT to 1900 GMT, 10 December. Alphington, West Exe Technology College, 1600 GMT to 2000 GMT, 13 December. Register views
Councillor Des Shadrick, executive member for Community Planning, said: "I hope people will come along to find out the facts and register their opinions.
"The County Council will be listening clearly to what all communities and representatives have to say."
The proposals will not go before the council until 26 January and people can register their views up to that date.
The committee will also hear representations at the meeting itself.
