Lollipop warden recruitment drive

The job is to be combined with other part-time posts
Lollipop warden jobs in Devon are to be combined with other posts in a bid to fill a number of vacancies.

The job of lollipop warden, or school crossing patrols as they are now known, have proved difficult to fill in recent years in the county.

In order to try to attract new staff, Devon County Council is combining the post with other part-time work in schools such as cleaning and catering.

A recruitment campaign will take place in Exeter on Thursday.

There are currently five school crossing patrol vacancies in the Exeter area.

The recruitment roadshow will be held at the Exeter Guildhall Shopping Centre on Thursday and Friday.
