The prisoner, who died on Saturday, has been named as 46-year-old Robert Finch from Albert Road in Crediton, Devon.

Devon and Cornwall Police say Mr Finch had been remanded in custody accused of killing his wife. He was undergoing psychological assessment.

Officers say there are no suspicious circumstances. The coroner has been informed and a police report will be prepared for an inquest.
