Airlines set to expand services
Air Southwest plane
Air Southwest is launching new flights to Bristol and Manchester
People who use air services out of the South West will have a much wider choice of scheduled flights from the start of this month.

Air Southwest is launching new flights from Plymouth to Bristol and Manchester on Monday and Flybe will shortly launch new services from Exeter.

Air Southwest is the airline which was created to take over the British Airways route to Gatwick.

This is its first expansion and in four weeks it will start flights to Jersey.

There has also been speculation that the airline may begin to start flying to Paris or Amsterdam.

And in four weeks Flybe will treble the number of scheduled destinations from Exeter.

It is launching three new routes to Spain and Portugal, and three routes to Scotland and Northern Ireland.
