Hospital pay talks continue
Staff providing cleaning and other services at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth are to return to the negotiating table in their dispute over pay and conditions.

The GMB union wants workers for ISS Mediclean to have parity with NHS employees.

The union says the lowest paid worker earns 4.45 an hour.

Union representatives say they are willing to consider the company's latest pay offer, but are not ruling out strike action.

Last month the union balloted more than 200 members working for ISS Mediclean to see if they would support a campaign for improved pay and conditions of employment.

The union says just two members voted 'no'.

ISS Mediclean said it was keen to resolve the issue with the union, and was continuing to invite members to air their concerns in an open dialogue.
