A parliamentary committee will be discussing key water legislation |
South West surfers are expected to join a protest in London on Wednesday as MPs discuss water quality standards. The wet-suited protestors from pressure group Surfers Against Sewage will deliver a giant postcard to Environment Minister Elliot Morley urging him to help.
The delegation of surfers will arrive in Parliament Square carrying a sick surfer in a hospital bed.

The publicity stunt coincides with a meeting of the House of Commons European Standing Committee, which will be discussing key water quality legislation.
And the protestors are pressing for a piece of legislation, the bathing water directive, to be updated.
The campaigners say plans to update the directive do not go far enough.
They say it is 27 years old and does not take account of today's scientific and technological standards.
The group also wants to see better management of beaches, with warning signs and more information so the public can decide when and where they use beaches.
