The three-years-old twins have a nut allergy

Sheryll Ough has to be on standby at the nursery to use an epi-pen to treat any strong reactions.

The Kids Corner Pre School in Sudbury, Derbyshire said it is difficult to locate anyone to offer training.

Ms Ough said she is frustrated with the problem but does not blame the staff at the nursery.

Easy to use

"At the end of the day it is life-threatening - and that's what the pens are for - so there should be somebody out there who could train [nursery staff] to use them," Ms Ough said.

She said the pen is easy to use - it is gently inserted into the thigh through their clothes to combat anaphylaxis or severe allergic reactions.

Victoria Mitchell of Kids' Corner Pre-School said she has asked various organisations, including the NHS, to help find anyone willing to offer the training.

She wants anyone who can provide the training to contact the nursery.
