Big order for train building firm
A �223m order has been secured for engineering firm Bombardier's Derby train building facility.

The company has been awarded the contract for the East London line and the North London Railway.

It will supply 152 Electrostar cars with an option on another 196 additional cars, all backed with maintenance agreements.

Delivery of the first of the Electrostars will be in July 2008, with the last in May 2009.

Colin Walton, from Bombardier UK, said: "This order will help secure employment for our highly specialized workforce at Derby."
