Figures show drop in county crime
Recorded crime levels are lower for Derbyshire than the national average - according to new Home Office figures.

Statistics also showed the county had higher reductions in burglary between 2004/05 and 2005/06 than the England and Wales average.

A separate study, the British Crime Survey, also showed Derbyshire had lower rates of car crime and violent crime than the national average.

Overall, crime in the East Midlands is down by 4%.
