Residents warned of bogus callers
Householders in Derbyshire are being told to watch out for bogus callers after three houses were burgled within a matter of hours.

Three men claiming to be from the water board tricked their way into homes in Ashbourne, Osmaston and Darley Dale.

In one case, a large amount of cash was stolen. The men are described as white, one in his mid 40s and the other two in their 20s.

They were seen driving a Ford Mondeo car and later spotted in a 4x4.

Inspector Tony Dales from Derbyshire Police said: "People who come into the area for distraction burglaries are quite well organised.

"Yesterday (Tuesday) we've got evidence that vehicles were changed during the day.

"They will do whatever it takes to actually get into a house."
