| An elderly woman has died in a fire at her home in Derby. Fire crews were called to the semi-detached property on Porter Road at about 1515 GMT on Tuesday after neighbours raised the alarm. Firefighters used breathing apparatus to enter the property,but the woman was declared dead at the scene. Derbyshire Fire Service said the ground-floor of the house was well alight when they arrived. An investigation has been launched.
