Train passengers warned of delays
Midland Mainline has warned passengers to expect delays on its services on the August Bank Holiday.

The firm is running coaches from Kettering to Bedford due to essential maintenance work.

Passengers are being advised to allow an extra hour for their journey.

Anyone travelling southbound from Sheffield, Chesterfield, Nottingham, Derby, Leicester and Market Harborough will travel on from Kettering by coach.

Customers travelling from other Midland Mainline stations will need to change at Leicester for services to Kettering and then to Bedford by coach.

For northbound travellers, a regular coach service will run to Kettering from Bedford, with some coaches also stopping at Wellingborough.

The maintenance work is being done by Network Rail.
