Magic mushrooms have been withdrawn from sale at a Lincolnshire market - despite police being powerless to remove them. The mushrooms contain chemicals defined as class A drugs, but police could not act because they were raw.
The stall owner at Lincoln Central Market only withdrew them when the city council requested she do so.
Police said the mushrooms only become illegal when processed to release the hallucinogenic chemicals.
Magic mushrooms can have an effect similar to the drug LSD.
