| Small businesses in Derby say they are desperate for the new university term to begin and for students to start spending money in the city. Many shops and bars have been badly affected by the summer's poor weather keeping people at home. But over the next two weeks more than 9,000 students are expected to arrive in Derby in the run up to the start of the new term. Some shopkeepers says they are counting the days until the new term begins.
