Cricketer's fiance dies in crash
The fiance of Derbyshire cricketer Luke Sutton has died in a road crash.

Nia Walters, 26, from Mickleover, lost control of her car on the Via Jellia Road between Cromford and Newhaven at around 0750 BST on Saturday.

Miss Walters was travelling towards Cromford after leaving her parent's house when her Ford Fiesta collided with another car travelling in the opposite direction.

She was airlifted to hospital but paramedics were unable to save her.

The driver of the other vehicle escaped unhurt.

Luke Sutton, who was born in Somerset, made his debut for Derbyshire County Cricket Club in 2000 and was made captain for the 2004 season.

A wicketkeeper and middle-lower order batsman, the 27-year-old played for Somerset in 1997 and 1998 before moving to Derbyshire.
