Court orders protesters to move
Protest camp
The campsite has been occupied for nearly four years
The High Court has ruled anti-quarry campaigners in Derbyshire must leave their protest camp.

Environmentalists have been camping near Stanton Lees for nearly four years.

An eviction notice was served on the protesters early on Friday by the Stancliffe Stone quarrying company.

A High Court judge ruled against the squatters, who have been occupying the Endcliffe and Lees Cross quarry sites.

More recently, protesters have also been camping at the nearby Nine Ladies Stone Circle - which they say could be damaged if the quarry expands.

The company says there is no time limit on when they have to enforce the eviction notice, but it will not be taking action to remove protesters immediately.
