Council to consider Riverlights
Bus station
Will the bus station be redeveloped?
Protesters fighting controversial plans to redevelop Derby bus station will demonstrate outside the council house on Thursday.

The 83m Riverlights project includes apartments, shops, restaurants and bars.

The planning application for the project goes before the city council's Planning Control Committee on Thursday night.

It will make a final decision on whether the extension of the bus station and the construction of two new buildings will go ahead.

About 15,000 people have signed a petition opposing Riverlights.

Campaign leaders will gather on the steps of the council house to protest before the meeting.
