Climber falls 'hundreds of feet'
A climber has been taken to hospital after reportedly falling hundreds of feet in the Lake District.

Cumbria Police were alerted by a member of the public who told them they had seen the woman fall on Hindscarth in the Newlands Valley, near Keswick.

The Keswick Mountain Rescue team was called and the woman was taken by helicopter to the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven.

Police say her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
