Memorial service for Tebay dead
Investigators at Tebay crash scene
The men were working on the West Coast Main Line
A memorial service has been held for the four men who were killed by a runaway trailer at Tebay in Cumbria.

The men died after being hit by a flatbed trailer while working on a section of the West Coast Main Line.

On Tuesday, a service was held just yards from the railway track where they were working on 15 February 2004.

Mark Connolly, 43, from Anglesey, North Wales, and Roy Kennett, 27, of Maidstone, Kent, are charged with four counts of manslaughter.

Around 70 people attended the short memorial service, mostly colleagues and family.

Trains on the West Coast Main Line were halted for 15 minutes as Methodist minister, Philip Dew spoke to the gathering. A minute's silence was also held.

Colin Buckley, 49, of Carnforth, Lancashire; Darren Burgess, 30, also of Carnforth; Chris Waters, 53, of Morecambe, Lancashire; and Gary Tindall, 46, of Tebay, all died in the incident.
