Teenager rescued after fell fall
A 17-year-old girl has suffered back and leg injuries after falling during a fell walking expedition in the Lake District, in Cumbria.

The teenager was on a Duke of Edinburgh gold award trip when she slipped on a path at High Force, Gowbarrow Fell, in Ullswater, on Wednesday evening.

A team from Patterdale Mountain Rescue carried the girl to safety.

She was taken to Carlisle's Cumberland Infirmary for treatment for back and leg injuries.
