Climbers are urged to be prepared
Two teenage rock climbers had to be led to safety after becoming stranded in the Lake District.

Cries for help from the man and woman, both aged 19, were heard in the valley below on Saturday night.

A team from Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue said the pair did not have torches and got lost in the dark.

They were led to safety from Middlefell Buttress in Great Langdale. Mountain rescuers are urging climbers to make sure they are properly equipped.
