mountain rescue
Members of three mountain rescue teams took part in the rescue
Four walkers were rescued from fells in the Lake District after losing their way in mist.

Mountain rescue teams were alerted on Wednesday night.

Teams from Keswick Mountain Rescue Team, Langdale/Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team and Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team were involved in the rescue.

They searched the central fells for the four walkers.

They were found a long way off their route at 2355 GMT after a five-hour operation.

The walkers, who were not hurt, were then led off the fells by the rescue teams.
