An air ambulance crew recovered the injured paraglider |
A paraglider was rescued after crashing on hills in Cumbria. The North West air ambulance airlifted the un-named pilot to hospital after the incident on Saturday.
The machine came down in the Howgill fells, near Sedbergh.
An ambulance service spokesman said they received a call at about 1330 BST on Saturday.
A helicopter was used because of the remoteness of the location.
The pilot was taken to the Preston Royal Hospital.
He was treated for what hospital staff described as "a number of minor fractures."
