More than a dozen rabbits have been left at a Warwickshire roadside. Police said some were in a poor state of health indicating they have been badly looked after or have been roaming free and unable to feed themselves.
The 15 rabbits, which include adults and babies, were spotted on the grass verge in Coton Road, Nuneaton.
Staff from the Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary have been able to capture five of the rabbits so far but one has since had to be put down.
Police said anyone who knows where the rabbits came from, or who wants to give a pet rabbit a new home, should contact the sanctuary directly.
