Some of the world's best architects and designers are being asked to become the inspiration for a new bridge in Stratford-upon-Avon. County council staff are attending a property conference in Cannes and plan to invite designers to a presentation about plans for the bridge.
Work on the �2m pedestrian and cycle bridge should start in 2008.
A spokesman said the competition will be run by the Royal Institute of British Architects.
