MP publishes list of mobile masts
A Warwickshire MP has published a list of proposed mobile phone sites in his area because he said the local borough council has not made them public.

Mike O'Brien, who represents North Warwickshire, said revealing the list of 14 sites will allow people living nearby to lodge objections.

The proposed sites for the masts have been put forward by firms including 02, 3 and T-Mobile.

The council said a list of sites was sent to town and parish councils.

The proposed sites include spots in the villages of Dordon and Grendon and the towns of Polesworth and Coleshill.

A North Warwickshire Borough Council spokesman said: "It is not notice of new proposals, merely the industry informing the council of possible future sites.

"We sent it to all parish, town councils and district councillors within whose constituency/ward the potential mast site is/was located.

"Some of the sites were the subject of formal and specific consultation before the list was published. Some have been the subject of consultation since.

"When an application reaches us, we consult residents, their representatives and local interest groups."
