Staff at the Royal Shakespeare Company's learning unit, in Stratford, Warwickshire, have been meeting teachers from across the country.

Organisers said they hoped to find ways of introducing children to the plays and head off the fear of his work which can develop in secondary schools.

A spokeswoman said it was important children found Shakespeare exciting.
