Horse dies after firework set off
A horse that had to be put down after running into a fence may have been startled by a firework, Warwickshire Police have said.

A Giant Storm firework was recovered from the field at Red House Farm, Lillington, near Leamington Spa, where the animal was found with a nose wound.

A police spokeswoman said: "It is not believed the firework directly caused the injury.

"It may however have frightened the horse, causing it to run into a fence."

She said the horse was in the field with two other horses and someone may have lit the firework in the field with the intention of frightening the animals.
