Bogus policeman robs woman, 95
A 95-year-old woman had items stolen from her Warwickshire home by a man posing as a police officer.

The man told her he was checking the water supply claiming there were problems on her street in Coleshill.

She became suspicious when he asked her to flush the toilet several times. After he left, the pensioner realised an upstairs window was open.

It is believed he could have let in an accomplice. The victim discovered that cash and bank cards had been stolen.

Warwickshire Police are warning householders to be on their guard and have reminded residents that all genuine police officers carry photographic identity.
