Council appoints interim director

An interim director of children's services has been appointed at Cornwall Council following the resignation of the former director.

Dean Ashton stood down from his post in early October ahead of an Ofstead report, published later this month.

Richard Hubbard will start as interim director this week.

Mr Hubbard was previously director of children's services for West Berkshire Council and Worcestershire County Council.
