Local residents had objected to earlier plans for a 12m stadium |
Revised proposals for a new multi-million pound football stadium are going on display in Cornwall. Truro City Football Club wants to build a new 6m pitch and training area at Kenwyn Hill, opposite the old Cornish Pirates' temporary rugby ground.
A planning application has been filed with Carrick District Council.
The club had previously floated plans for a 12m stadium at the site, but residents opposed the idea, saying the roads could not cope with the traffic.
The club's aim is for the complex to be a "central sporting hub for the community".
The development includes a full-size, floodlit, all-weather football pitch, two other full-size pitches, two junior pitches, four indoor five-a-side pitches and a clubhouse.
A gym, conference rooms and bar and restaurant will be available for the local community.
