The Firkins were found guilty of battering the couple to death |
Two brothers who were jailed last year for the brutal murders of a Cornish couple have been granted an appeal against their conviction. Robert, 34, and Lee Firkins, 32, were sentenced to life for shooting Carol and Graham Fisher before bludgeoning them with a sledgehammer. Mr Fisher, 60, and his 53-year-old wife owned Perch Garage near Wadebridge, North Cornwall. They were killed on Bonfire Night, 2003 in their bungalow next to the garage. The hearing for the brothers from Exford Close, Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset, is due to be heard at the Court of Appeal in London on 30 March. Devon and Cornwall Police said it would "not be appropriate" to comment on the development.
