Some of the money will be used on a new village trail | The Environment Agency (EA) has appealed for help to solve a problem which increased the destruction caused by the Boscastle flood in 2004. More than 50 properties were flooded and cars were swept away when tonnes of water surged down the valley. The EA is meeting residents on Thursday to gather ideas on how to minimise the amount of debris in the river valley which led to the floods. Flood defences on the River Jordan are now complete.
