A Cornish brewery is threatening to stop supplying pubs and bars with beer if they continually get into trouble over alcohol-related incidents. Sharp's Brewery, which is based in Rock, said the ban will apply to all venues where excessive drinking leads to loutish behaviour.
The brewery was founded in 1994 and has more than 30 employees. It said the policy was to create good relations.
The initiative has been welcomed by Devon and Cornwall Police.
Effective solution
Nick Baker, from Sharp's, told BBC News: "We want everyone to have a good time, but in a way which doesn't unduly impair on other people enjoying themselves."
John Pascoe, a regular pub-goer who enjoys Sharp's beer, believes suspending supplies to places where there had been repeated problems would be effective.
He said: "They'd get the message, wouldn't they? The thing is getting through to the ones causing the havoc."
Sharp's is one of the largest brewers of cask beer in the region and has also been one of the UK's fastest growing breweries in recent years.
