People across the South West will be marking the 60th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day on Sunday. There will be celebrations throughout Devon and Cornwall including parades in Sidmouth and Truro.
In Plymouth the Naval Base Museum is holding a special open day with a range of vehicles including fire engines from World War II on display.
In Truro more than 120 World War II veterans are expected to gather to mark the occasion.
And Devon's Normandy veterans will be holding a special service in Torre Abbey.
The chapel is being opened specially for them.
