Fog and mist have forced the temporary postponement of the World Gig Racing Championships on the Isles of Scilly. There are about 2,000 rowers in the islands to compete in the annual event, which gives a massive boost to the local economy.
Some races took place on Saturday morning, before poor visibility meant some gigs could not be located.
It is hoped weather conditions will improve to allow racing to restart later in the afternoon.
Nearly 100 gigs are taking part in the competition.
