Islands suffer 24-hour power cut
About 150 homes on two of the Isles of Scilly suffered a power cut lasting just over 24 hours.

Electricity supplies failed on Bryher and Tresco on Thursday night.

Western Power Distribution was in the process of shipping emergency generators to the islands when the fault was repaired.

The company said that its engineers managed to fix the fault, which was located in a cable on Tresco, just after 2100 BST on Friday night.
