The effect bullying has on children's health is being discussed at an event in Cornwall. The annual anti-bullying conference is being held at County Hall in Truro to look at the work being done to combat the problem.
Victim Support and Cornwall's Children's Services Authority (CSA) are hosting this year's conference.
They will be discussing what effect bullying has on the mental, physical and emotional health of youngsters.
'Destructive and cruel'
Experts speaking at Thursday's event include an educational psychologist, a police superintendent and a consultant paediatrician.
Geoff Aver, of the CVA, said: "The conference provides an ideal opportunity for school staff and others working with young people to find out the latest developments and to share good practice.
"Bullying is a destructive and cruel aspect of our society at all levels and can only be defeated when people feel they are in a supportive environment where bullying is simply not tolerated."
